The ClueFinders are a group of 4 "real" kids (each with a unique gift), and their computer sidekick. They solve mysteries in the form of great adventures, which always take place away from home, frequently in exotic locations.

WWW.Cluefinders.com is a kid-centered, immersive experience that is an extension of the ClueFinder line of products. By helping the ClueFinders solve their mysteries, children from ages 7- 12 learn in a fun, adventurous way. This site is really exciting because it encourages kids from all over to interactive with each other and feel a sense of community.

The purpose of the site is to give kids a unique experience on the web and to drive awareness of the ClueFinder brand. The goals of the site are (1) to encourage sales of the ClueFinders CD line and (2) to create and engage the user in a safe, fun community which prompts repeat visits. Human achieved these goals but creating exciting features.

Key features of the site are:

  • Clubhouse. The site is based around a clubhouse interface. By joining the secret clubhouse kids have access to all sorts of adventures.
  • Parent/Teacher Area. Parent and teachers can access product information directly to see what products best meet their childrenĖs needs.
  • Mystery of the Month. The Mystery of the Month will be updated regularly. It allows children of different reading levels to help the Cluefinders solve a mystery. This shockwave piece allows optimal interactivity on the the web.
  • Real World Research. The Real World Research project is intended to have kids collaborate to solve real world problems. It is a phased project where users are asked to enter data weekly. Children around the world enter information and based on the statistics, kids are asked to take action on the given problem. This is currently in progress, put kids will be researching this like pollution, transportation issues, etc.
  • Lockers. Every child that log on has a locker along with the Cluefinders. The locker is based out of the clubhouse. The user can also access lockers of other kids. It is really fun to pick all the items in your locker and check out what other kids picked.
  • Newspaper. There is a monthly newspaper that will feature kids on the site. Kids are encouraged to submit articles on why they should be the Cluefinder of the Month and there is a section for neat stories or poems. Kids around the world can read about other kids just like them.
