I created this picture using Photoshop & Illustrator, and some pieces of homemade paper. I wanted to create a piece that had a 1950's feel to it. First I made a drawing in Illustrator. Next I brought the Illustrator file into Photoshop saved as paths. By selecting the paths turning them into selections, inversing the selections then deleting, I created the black lines. Using levels and curves I produced a monochormatic background. Using a scanned in color palette and Photoshop's paint tools, I colored each selection. Finally using another layer of paper in the multiply mode and a few adjustments, I had the finished piece!
