eGems™ Collector Pro is a powerful research management software,
enabling users to conduct and organize electronic research quickly,
easily and accurately. A desktop-based application, eGems is ideal
for researchers and knowledge managers.
eGems Collector Pro lets the user quickly grab, store and organize
electronic research "Gems" on the fly. The user can capture facts,
quotes, graphics, Web links and more from the Internet, digital libraries,
or other open applications. Research Gems are stored in a simple and
intuitive database (Slide 2), with automatic hot-links back to their
Web sources, as needed.
Gems can be easily organized in personalized "chests" and "trays."
As each Gem is created, the software provides three screen shots of
the Gem. The first is a "General" screen (Slide 3) that titles the
Gem and provides the user the opportunity to write a note about the
Gem.
The second is a "Bibliography" screen (Slide 4). As the user is capturing
Gems, eGems automatically cites relevant source information and offers
the user the option of adding to the source material and choosing
a format for building a bibliography for later use.
The third is a "View" screen (Slide 5) that shows the user the captured
Gem. eGems Collector Pro software offers great flexibility in application:
permitting users to drop Gems into their own documents, such as Word
or PowerPoint, by simply dragging and dropping the Gems into the open
application. Source material is instantaneously and accurately regenerated
for formatted footnotes or bibliographies in the same step. Or users
can email Gems to others, or share Gems on a network.
